Sixt car hire requeriments at Malaga airport

The renter and the driver must hold a valid driving license for a year.

They accept driving licenses from non-EU members (except Switzerland) if:
a) there is no Visa registered in the passport.
b) the customer has a visa in his passport and at the time of hire has resided for a period less than 6 months in Europe. If you live more than 6 months in Europe, must have a driving license in a state of the EU.

The driver and payment details are recorded at time of booking and are not modifiable.The person who rents / collects the vehicle must be the holder of the indicated credit card. It has to be presented at the Sixt desk when collecting your car and has to be valid at the time.

Sixt fuel policy

Sixt will charge the full tank of gasoline although you return the quarter, so we recommend that you return it always full. There have been many complaints about fuel price gouging applied in Sixt.

Sixt does not include in price

For modification of the reserve it is necessary to confirm at least 48 hours before the rental date, assuming an extra charge of EUR 20, - and subject to availability. There will be no refund of the amount already paid / prepaid in the case of price difference.

The reservation can be canceled before the beginning of the lease in writing or by email. In case of cancellation, will be refunded the amount paid in advance, less cancellation fees amounting to the amount of the rental price (which will be a maximum of 3 days, including extras and fees). By not picking up the vehicle at the appointed time, will be retained the amount that was paid in advance.

Drivers under 23 years are billed an additional fee in an amount of EUR 10.00 per day, maximum € 70.00.

For security reasons is requested a deposit on the means of payment which might be up to three times the rent.
In the case of vehicles of higher value, there is the possibility of applying different rates. The exact deposit will be determined in the delivery of the vehicle, as the amount depends on the vehicle.

There will be applied a surcharge if you rent the car at the airport.
