The minimum age depends on vehicle type and country of hire. To rent a car in Spain, the customer must be in possession of a driving license for at least one year and have attained 23 years of age or 25 years for some top class vehicles. In Spain, for drivers under age 25 there is a charge of 18.59 Euros per day of rental and driver, up to a maximum of 185.85 Euros.

Most AVIS offices have clearly marked parking and a mailbox where you can leave the car keys and copies of the contract. Leave the car well parked and locked. Note down in one of the copies of the contract the date and time of the return and mileage. Finally, deposit the mentioned copy and car keys in the mailbox-enabled for that purpose in our leasing office.

To avoid billing errors (incorrect billing of the rental period) make sure to notify Avis personally the return of the vehicle. If you do not leave the vehicle parked in an AVIS parking, contact Avis as soon as possible to report your return. The customer is responsible for the vehicle until Avis can take care of it.

Avis car hire insurance

Coverage for theft of the rental vehicle includes the cost of rental car (or parts of it) if it is stolen, you must pay the amount of the exemption; you can eliminate the franchise by hiring a total protection insurance for damages and theft at an additional extra cost.

What is NOT included in your rental car

An additional day's rental will be charged if you return the car after the 24-hour period starting at the time the vehicle was collected in the leasing office. For example, if you rent a car at 10:00 am on Monday and return it at 11:00 am the following day, will be charged an extra day. The grace period on return of the vehicle is 29 minutes.
The rental car can be driven only by the person renting the car. If others plan to drive the car they should be added to the lease when the car is collected. Additional drivers are subject to the same conditions as to age, credit cards and driver's license as the main driver. There is a surcharge for additional drivers.
