I am travelling to Gaucin on 2nd May 2016. Can I get a bus to Estepona from the airport and as we are arriving at 9.45 - what time are they, how much and how long does it take?. Also, do we have to book in advance and how do I do this?
Is there a bus from Estepona to Gaucin?

Thanks for your help. Geraldine

Hello Geraldine,
Someone else already asked about buses from the airport to Estepona, you can check here:

You dont need to book in advance the bus ticket and the trip duration to Estepona is about 2 hours, always depending on traffic.

About buses to Gaucin:
There is no direct bus line to Gaucin from Estepona. Official website recommends buses from Ronda or Algeciras.

Your best choice would be to take a bus to Algeciras, and from there take another bus or a train to Gaucin.

There are 3 buses a day from Algeciras tu Gaucin and the trip takes around 1 hour and a half.

Algeciras, 06:15

I am travelling to Malaga ahead of friends and want to spend two nights in a medium priced hotel in the Old Town so that I can also go to the Picasso Gallery and explore Malaga.

Has any one got a recommendation for a place to stay? .I would like somewhere characterful and not too expensive . I will be staying there on my own.

Looking forward to your response. Best wishes Geraldine

I enjoyed this year travelling to foreign countries alone twice, it is a very nice experience.

Depending on how much you want to spend and the type of accommodation you like there are some options. Better use right click and open in a new tab the links, there are reviews for each of them...I selected some hotels with good reviews and cheap prices:

Nomadas Hostel

BH Hotel Atarazanas
3 stars hotels in Malaga city centre next to the municipal market, this market was in the past a shipyard.

El Riad Andaluz
Typical andalusian home with arabian decoration

You can also check for more hotels here or contact them asking for your requeriments.

Hope you enjoy your visit!
