Nightlife in Benalmádena is almost dead in January actually, I recommend going to Playamar in Torremolinos (beach promenade) where many beach clubs are open on weekends and ambience is good.

You can find on the middle of the following page:

Strolling Malaga city centre is also a nice idea by that date.

Hello!,
There are many places you could visit, and we also have some information about the things you asked about, take a look at:

http://www.malagaweb.com/bars/benalmadena.php

http://www.malagaweb.com/restaurants/benalmadena.php

I would recommend having a walk in the Marina, there are some nice restaurants there and nightclubs, I personally recommend the "Pez Espada" restaurant, I went there the past summer, and loved it. It is in front of the beach and I think you will like it, it is also very romantic when going with someone, however it is not in Benalmadena but close, it is walking from the Puerto Marina to Torremolinos, about 10 minutes far walking by the promenade.

Let me know if I can help on anything else.

Hi raul,

we have booked up to go to benalmadena, just need to find some bars and a nightclub or two which is busy would be good. Although I dont know how long we will be able to last.

Any recommendations?

Also what about restaurants, do you have any favourites?

Hello!,
As you said, Alhaurin is too far from everywhere, I would recommend Torremolinos or Benalmadena because it is close to Malaga, Fuengirola and not too far from Marbella and Puerto Banus ;)

You can ask for hotel avaibility at:
http://www.malagaholidays.com

For hotels or apartments in Benalmadena and Torremolinos, they would also offer you information. You can use the phone number :)

Thanks for that information, much appreciated.

The next questions is :D where would be the best place to stay.

I was thinking Torremolinos as this looks quite central or Benalmadena. That means we could visit places like fuengirola or malaga centre without paying too much in transport. We have also seen some places to stay in Alhaurin de la Torre although I was thinking this might be a bit too far out.

Hi and welcome!
If you are coming to Malaga the last weekend of January you will find everything open and a more relaxed ambient. Malaga by the end of January is sunny and not as hot as in summer, but the temperature use to very comfortable when not cloudy. I always say in Malaga, the winter lasts just from middle of december to middle of January :D

Depending on your destination you will find many pubs and nightclubs opened, more likely from Thursday to Sunday, being the Satuday the most crowded day. I can talk about Puerto Marina which is next to where I live, as I don´t like much nightclubs

My opinnion is that you have choosen an excelent timedate for coming to Malaga ;) , let me know if need to know anything else.

hi all,

Will there be anything open?

Hoping to come for a mixture of relaxation but also take in some nightlife. I was wondering if there will be any pubs or clubs open during the quiet season and in which areas of malaga they will be busiest.

thanks
