Day of Perota Soup<\/h3>\n

First Saturday in October<\/strong>, free rations of food are distributed in a town with its own character, who would miss it? There are many things you can do after enjoying this gastronomic day.<\/p>\n

Torrox Fair<\/h3>\n

The Torrox fair begins the first weekend of October<\/strong> with a cavalcade where giant puppets of big heads parade before the lighting of the fair that night.<\/p>\n

The fair lasts 5 days during which you can eat, drink and have fun. There are musical performances, booths and mechanical attractions for the little ones.<\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> From 3rd to 7th of October 2025.<\/p>\n

Algatocin Fair<\/h3>\n

During the first week of October<\/strong> the Algatocin fair takes place. This fair offers the visitor typical dishes of the region as well as workshops and sports activities.<\/p>\n

On 4th October, the municipal music band travels around the town house by house and they receive typical sweets and drinks in compensation.<\/p>\n

Fuengirola Fair<\/h3>\n

The Fuengirola fair, one of the most popular events in the province, takes place from 6th to 12th October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main activity of the fair, both during the day and at night, is in the fairgrounds, with artistic performances and access to different stands and mechanical attractions.<\/p>\n

In the fair booths you can enjoy good dishes, drinks and dances. The Plaza de la Constitucion is another of the places where there is a festive atmosphere of the fair with dances and other activities.<\/p>\n

Yunquera Fair<\/h3>\n

The Yunquera fair is a traditional celebration. Its origins link it to the return of many of its inhabitants from Cadiz after the harvest season.<\/p>\n

After the grape offering, there is an event in which you can participate by stepping on grapes to commemorate the production of the typical wine of Yunquera.<\/p>\n

Visiting Yunquera during its popular festivals is an opportunity to taste its rich typical gastronomy in some of its restaurants.<\/p>\n

Nerja Fair<\/h3>\n

Between 9th and 13th October<\/strong>, is celebrated the Nerja Fair also called Feria de las Maravillas de Maro. The fair is characterised by its flamenco<\/a> singing festivals, sports activities, horseback riding and verbenas among other activities.<\/p>\n

During the Nerja Fair, the election of the Queen of the fiestas as well as Mister and Miss Nerja takes place.<\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> From 9th to 13th October.<\/p>\n

Ojen Fair<\/h3>\n

The Ojen fair occurs between 8th and 12th October<\/strong>. It begins with a procession through the streets that ends in the square, after which the day fair begins.<\/p>\n

The fair features live concerts and crowning of the queen and bridesmaids of the fair. Among the activities there are family games and mechanical attractions a few metres from the square for the enjoyment of the little ones.<\/p>\n
