If you want to learn more about the culture and customs of your tourist destination, visiting this kind of events is a very good choice.<\/p>\n<p>Fairs in the province have a historical character and long tradition. In Andalusia the fairs in general were in their beginnings cattle markets. In 2017 as example, they organized a water slide in the middle of a street during the Friday Fair, while on Saturday it was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.malagaweb.com\/blog\/events\/perotas-soups-day-alora\/\">Perotas Soup Day<\/a>, a typical recipe of Alora.<\/p>\n<p>The first Day Fair for those who want to visit the fair during the day is on Thursday at Plaza Fuente Arriba from noon.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong> 31 July to 4th in August in 2019.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> Alora (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/khguNSkzRJF2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Map<\/a>). Free entrance, so if you are interested in spending an interesting evening on Saturday in Mijas, you can not miss it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong> Saturday 3 August from 8.00 pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> Around the auditorium of Mijas, at &#8220;Jardines de la Muralla&#8221; (Gardens of the Wall) (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/8wsppwwXFG57A4fn6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Map<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Celtic flea market is from 2nd to 4th in August from 7 pm to 1 am.<\/p>\n<h3>Gaucin Fair<\/h3>\n<p>On the first night of the Fair at 11.00 pm, a parade is held from the convent to the fairgrounds, where the official lighting and opening of the Fair will take place.<\/p>\n<p>There are usually activities for children, from a children&#8217;s water park to a bouncy castle and sports competitions with awards.<\/p>\n<p>The morning of the last day of the fair is called &#8220;Domingo Rociero&#8221;, with popular Paella for attendees, horse parade, activities and awards ceremonies. At 2 in the morning there are fireworks that close the Fair until the following year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong> The Gauc\u00edn fair takes place on the first Thursday of August and ends on Sunday of the same week. (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/N35EKV1ULwdws6SM6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Map<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benalauria Fair: Moors and Christians event<\/h3>\n<p>The fair of Benalauria mixes tradition and present in an event that make use of the urban centre to recreate theatrical confrontations between Moors and Catholics during the sixteenth century.<\/p>\n<p>This representation can be seen the first Sunday of the month, at midday and at 6 pm.<\/p>\n<p>During the four days there will be concerts, activities for children and parades.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>When:<\/strong>\u00a0 The theatrical event is until the first Sunday of the month. Although it seems a lie, many tourists are afraid of this delicious drink, they use to think of it as a cold soup. If you are one of them I bet that you are one of those who have the fear in their face when trying this typical drink, that is not considered as a cold soup in Spain but a summer drink.<\/p>\n<p>The gazpacho festivity is a good opportunity to take away your fears and try this delicious recipe. In addition to the water festival there is a great gastronomic tasting of roasted chorizo at 1:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The water party is a battle between all the assistants, so if you plan to go better be ready.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Where: <\/strong>Jimera de Libar.
