At Puerto Marina in Benalmadena will be held from 17th to 20th of March the 3rd Seafood Fair, a popular event that serves as a platform to promote the cuisine of this well known Costa del Sol resort. It is a gastronomic event offering a wide variety of top quality seafood, prepared in different ways and at very affordable prices.

During four days visitors can taste the best seafood such as shrimps, scallops, grilled prawns, mussels, clams and many more from a total of 20 varieties of seafood at an extraordinary price, offered by the restaurants participating in the fair.

Seafood lovers can enjoy as of Thursday, at popular prices, in the following restaurants located in Puerto Marina in Benalmádena: El Arrecife, Carretero, El Trasmallo, Alborada, Calamar, Ventorillo La Perra, El Rincón Asturiano, El Faro, La Taberna Marinera de Juan y Pepi, Los Mellizos and El Mero.

A few days ago began autumn and now are appearing the chestnuts stalls in the streets of Malaga. Malaga chestnuts are special for being a product "Made in Malaga" (from the Serrania de Ronda).

The first rains and the smell of roasted chestnuts in Malaga announce the beginning of autumn in the Costa del Sol. In many corners appear from November to January handmade wooden posts where expert hands are roasting chestnuts. It is a delicious dish to eat while strolling down the street or sitting in any square and watch people passing by.

The only secret of roasted chestnuts is the quality of the fruit. We only need to make a cut so it does not explode in the heat, place them in a pan and put them over coals of charcoal. Roasted chestnuts don´t have no more ingredients than themselves ... and they are delicious.

The best Spanish chefs will meet in the second edition of the "Food & Sun Festival”, which will take place in the Hotel Gran Meliá Don Pepe in Marbella (Malaga), from 22nd to 24th of August.

After the success of last year, this event aims to establish itself as a "highly relevant" event in the agenda of the city and as a reference of culinary competitions.

The event, organized by the town hall of Marbella, will feature a gathering of recognized culinary artists, combining both traditional and avant-garde cuisine.
