Malaga, Marbella, Benalmadena: The Costa del Sol makes to its name
Updated: 2010-04-29 10:12:03
After a long winter, which this year surprised the Andalusians with large and continuous quantities of water and overcast skies, the Costa del Sol unfolds once more under a blazing sun. This spring is especially beautiful due of the large amount of water that has converted the Costa in a lush garden with green lawns and a large number of flowering trees.
Walking along the promenades of tourist resorts such as Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella and the capital, Malaga, you can see locals and visitors already enjoying the beach and the good weather. When at last the clouds broke up, thermometers have risen quickly to above 25 ° C, a perfect temperature for enjoying the outdoors, and one of the best times of the year.
On the beaches can still be enjoyed the silence and plenty of space, the atmosphere is relaxed and without the typical summer hustle when we get invaded by avalanches of tourists we need so much in order to keep the economy afloat.
But really, to live here or spend a vacation here is a real pleasure. Whether you prefer being in nature and do hiking trails or the many outdoor activities available in the Costa or you simply want to enjoy a stroll along the promenade, have an ice cream, a Horchata or a coffee in one of many terraces or enjoy the typical grilled sardines on a wooden stick with a cold beer ... there are plenty of ways to enjoy these weeks before the summer.
