Estepona Fair - July 2010

Estepona's annual fair, held in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, will be held from the 6th to the 11th of July with events throughout the day in downtown and night parties at the fairground in the outskirts of town.

The week-long festivity has a day fair and a night fair with many activities full of color and festive fervor. The city is filled with music, dance, folklore and street shows.

On the streets you can witness a large number of carriages and horsemen, while the locals are showing off their colorful costumes. It is a week full of joy and as a matter of fact, a large number of locals are taking these days off to thoroughly enjoy the fair.

Both during the day and during the night, residents and visitors make every effort to make the most of the week visiting different parts of the city, meeting friends in cafes, clubs and bars, while at night, the fairground attracts thousands of visitors with its typical pavilions and funfair.

Estepona annual fair is also a great moment to taste the best samples of traditional Andalusian cuisine.

The program of the fair is as follows:

• Tuesday, July 6th
  00:00 pm: Opening of Royal Fair and Amusement Park at the Exhibition Centre
  00:30 pm: The Orchestra "Shanghai"
  1:00 pm: Performance of "Material´s Funky"
• Wednesday, July 7th
  This day will be devoted to children, and attractions will have a 50% discount
  14:00 pm: Opening of the day fair (in the Calle Terraza).
  19:00 pm: Children´s party in the Booth of the Town Hall, with performances of an Animation group. All children will be presented with a gift.
  22:30 pm: Dance until dawn in the Booth of the Town Hall.
  23:00 pm: Performance by the Dance Academy of the delegation of Culture
• Thursday, July 8th
  12:30 pm: Day Fair at the Centre.
  20:00: Party for Seniors at the Booth of the Town Hall.
  21:00 pm: Performance of "Milana" Flamenco.
  22:30 pm: Dance until dawn in the Booth of the Town Hall.
  23:00 pm: Performance by the Dance Academy of the delegation of Culture.
  1:00 pm: Night of HIP-HOP with various groups (free admission).
• Friday, July 9th
  12:30 pm: Fair Day in the Town Centre.
  22:00: Performance by the Dance Academy of Cultural Delegation and "Material´s Funky".
  23:00 pm: Dance until dawn in the Booth of the Town Hall.
  1:00 pm: Performance of "The son of Paquita" (Free admission).
• Saturday, July 10th
  12:30 pm: Fair Day in the Town Centre.
  20:00: DISNEY Musical at the Palace of Exhibitions and Conferences.
  22:30 pm: Dance until dawn in the Booth of the Town Hall.
  23:00 pm: Performance of "Nucleo."
  1:00 pm: Performance of "Manuel de Angustias" (Free admission).
• Sunday, July 11th
  12:30 pm: Fair Day in the Town Centre.
  21:00: Performance by the Dance Academy Monica Peña.
  22:00: Dance until dawn in the Booth of the Town Hall.
  22:30 pm: Performance by the Classical Spanish Dance Academy
