Medieval Market in Mijas Costa August 31 to September 2

medieval las lagunasFrom August 31 to September 2 takes place in the town of Mijas Costa a medieval market. Specifically, it is district of Las Lagunas in Mijas, direct neighbouring town of Fuengirola, which celebrates its own medieval market from Friday to Sunday in the Park of Andalusia and the surrounding streets.

Every day from 7 pm until one o´clock in the morning around 40 stalls with crafts and food products will give life to a market of medieval times with their typical costumes. There will be a wide range of crafts and decoration items, alternative clothing and accessories.

Additionally there animation shows, drum and falconry performances, a play area for the kids with face painting and balloon modelling and various attractions. This market comes to Las Lagunas after it stayed in La Cala middle of August, and will come to Mijas Pueblo in about three weeks.

Since Mijas is one of the largest municipalities across the province, there are three very different districts, which are La Cala de Mijas, Las Lagunas and Mijas Pueblo.
Las Lagunas is the most modern, bustling and commercial area of Mijas and directly bordering Fuengirola, La Cala de Mijas is the coastal municipality and Mijas Pueblo is the white village located about 400 meters above sea level. Each district has its own Medieval Market; in Mijas Pueblo the Medieval Market will be held from 21 to 23 of September in the Plaza Virgen de la Peña.
