Medieval market in Puerto Marina in Benalmadena from June 8 to 10

medieval market 2012Visitors who come this weekend from 8th to 10th of June to Puerto Marina in Benalmadena can enjoy in the port  a large number of activities. Fun for all ages, especially children.

The event was named “Medieval Market and Marine Mythology“, during the event children and adults can participate in workshops, games room, parades and performances related to marine mythology and there will be as well a medieval market.

There will be a themed show every night; on Friday the performance is about medieval tyrants and pirates; Saturday will focus on mythological gods and there will be a comedy show and circus exercises, fire eaters and parades; on Sunday the performance will be about medieval warriors. In the medieval market there will be a variety of craft stalls selling silver, stones and minerals, Arabic handicrafts, natural soaps, glass, scrolls and much more. There will also be a “School of shield bearers” and an exhibition of falconry and a small stable of ponies for children.

The market opens its doors on Friday 8, from 7 pm until 1 am. Opening times during the weekend are from 11 am to 2.30 pm and from 7 pm to 1 am.

Puerto Marina has been awarded twice as the best marina in the world and certainly is worth a visit because of its attractive architecture that blends Eastern and Arab styles. The marina of Benalmadena is not just a port with over one thousand berths, but has a wide range of shops, restaurants, entertainment and a residential complex.

How to get to Puerto Marina
Puerto Marina is located in Benalmadena Costa, a few meters from the national road N-340. It can be reached easily from the coastal towns by the Mediterranean Motorway A-7; take exit 222 towards Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel.
