International Tourism Day

World tourism 2015On September 27 takes place on World Tourism Day where is especially noteworthy the Open House, during which the most important museums and monuments offer free admission during a set schedule; in some you can even enjoy a guided tour in English, Spanish or French.

Tourism is vital in Malaga, it’s always a good day to revisit museums and monuments, are you coming?

  • Centre Pompidou – 9:30 am to 8 pm
  • CAC – 10 am to 8 pm
  • Russian Museum of San Petersburg – 9:30 am to 8 pm
  • Thyssen Museum – 10 am to 8 pm
  • Picasso Birthhouse – 9:30 am to 8 pm
  • Municipal Heritage Museum – 10 am to 1 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm.
  • Museum of the Cathedral – 2 pm to a 6:30 pm
  • Museum Revello de Toro – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions: 10 am to 2 pm
  • Museum Jorge Rando – 10 am to 8 pm
  • Episcopal Palace – 10 am to 8 pm
  • Bullfighting Museum – 10 am to 8 pm
  • National Museum of Airports and Air Transport – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Flamenco Museum – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Gibralfaro castle – 9 am to 8 pm
  • Alcazaba – 9 am to 8 pm
  • English Cemetery – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Cemetery San Miguel – 9 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm
  • Roman Theatre: 10 am to 4 pm
  • Historical Botanical Garden La Concepcion – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Timetables of guided visits

  • Centre Pompidou – At 11 am, 12 am, 1 pm, 5 pm and the last visit at 6 pm.
  • Russian Museum of San Petersburg – 11 am, 12am, 1 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm.
  • Birthhouse Picasso – Audio guides available in Spanish and English.
  • Glass Museum
    – In Spanish at 11 am, 12am, 1 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm.
    – In English at 2 pm
    – In French at 3 pm
    – In Italian at 4 pm
  • Mimma (Interactive Music Museum) – 10, 11, 12 am and 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 pm.
  • Gibralfaro castle: Groups of 25 persons
