Summer has arrived in Malaga and invites to stroll in the warm Mediterranean night. Being a first-order tourist destination, the Costa del Sol offers of course a wide range of leisure activities for all tastes and ages. Those who want to get away a little of the typical tourist offer and discover more the emerging alternative culture in Malaga can come on Friday and Saturday, 8th and 9th of June, to the Civic Centre Gardens where there will be held a craft market at night.
This market, which usually takes place monthly on Sunday mornings, has moved to the evening hours, taking advantage of the warm temperatures and such a charming environment as are the grounds of the Civic Centre, an old building a few meters from the sea promenade. In this setting will develop the craft market “Made in Malaga (Hecho en Málaga)” between 6 pm and 11 pm where local designers and artisans offer their creations; there will also be music, workshops, crafts, games and a raffle of small creations.
Young visitors can enjoy a puppet show and from 8 pm onwards there will be also a workshop to learn how to model, where they learn to work with their hands creating moulds, figures and characters.
The Craft Market in the Gardens of the Civic Centre of Malaga is a nice proposal to spend an afternoon strolling and taking a look at original products, enjoying live entertainment and free workshops for small artisans.
The Civic Centre is located on Avenida de los Guindos, 48, Malaga.
By car: Take the Mediterranean highway A-7 from the Costa del Sol municipalities; take exit 234 towards MA-21/Avenida Velazquez.
