The Skate Plaza in Fuengirola has become a magnet for lovers of skating on the Costa del Sol.
For this reason, this Saturday 8th of May the city of Fuengirola has organized the first International Championship of Skate, which are expected to attend the skaters coming from all the Spanish geography and even Germany and France. In addition, this event will serve as official opening of the open area, which opened its doors in late 2009. Skaters will compete in two categories, amateur or professional, depending on their handling of the skateboard.
The winner in the professional category will receive a check for 900 Euros, while the second will get 400 Euros and third 200 Euros. In addition, the participant to perform the best trick will win a 500 Euro voucher to be redeemed at any surf shop of the chain Top Surf.
Apart from this competition, this sports event includes activities for all who come to this place, as for instance free classes by professional skaters from the National School Doctown. The morning activities will start from 10:30 am.
The Skate Plaza has 1790 square metres, street and ramp, and also has prepared areas for BMX.
If you want to enjoy a session, the Skate Park is located between the streets of San Cayetano and Virgen del Rosario, near the shopping centre Myramar.
