As every year in late June or in the second half of the month, we can enjoy again in the streets and squares a new edition of the Medieval Market in Estepona. For a long weekend the surroundings of the municipality go back to medieval times.
The medieval market of Estepona is one of the most beautiful. A large area of the old town is set in a rustic way; there are also many activities and workshops.
In 2019 the date for this event is from the 21st in the afternoon until the 23rd in June on the promenade of Estepona. (Streets Calle Castillo and Calle Viento)

The stalls of the Medieval Market in Estepona offer a variety of handicrafts. You will be able to see chocolate makers, potters and buy glass, spices, medicinal plants, esparto grass and much more; enjoy Arabic cuisine or an Arab pastry in a tea shop; taste breads, cheeses and many more delicacies just made in the stalls. All this is accompanied by shows, storytellers, jugglers, musicians, falconry, fire-eaters and Moorish dancers.
The streets of the historic centre usually receive a large influx of people this weekend, especially at night, as it is a very popular market that also coincides with the arrival of summer and pleasant night temperatures that invite you to stroll and enjoy the sea breeze.
Estepona is one of the westernmost municipalities on the Costa del Sol and it is a direct neighbour of Marbella. It has many wealthy guests, a high density of five star hotels and excellent golf courses. This old fishing village has managed to maintain its authentic roots while discreetly sheltering a high standing tourism that prefers to go unnoticed.

The medieval market is one of the many events that take place during the summer solstice between 22 and 24 June. There will also be workshops, flamenco shows and theatre performances.
