In Marbella we can enjoy during three months a particular exposition that initially caused quite some controversy, "The Human Body", from May 19 to August 12 at the Congress Centre of Marbella.
Who has enough curiosity and stomach can delve into the fascinating world of human anatomy in this exhibition of real human bodies preserved through a process called Plastination. This exhibition in Marbella, which have seen millions of people around the world, is designed for educational purposes and awareness of healthy lifestyles. Through more than 200 plastinated real samples we observe the basic components of human anatomy and the effects of unhealthy lifestyles such as smoking or obesity.
Some years ago the creator of the Plastination human bodies, Gunther von Hagens, caused much furore with his exhibition "Body Worlds". The samples of this exhibition "The Human Body" have been performed by the laboratory Dalian Hoffen, with mostly Chinese donors and mainly educational purposes.
The ticket price is between 10 and 16 Euros, depending on day and age; there are special rates for groups.
