Air traffic: Spanish airports operate normally

Spanish airports are operating normally, so that from the 5.182 flights scheduled for today, Tuesday, only one bound for Iceland has been canceled by the effects of the volcanic ash cloud, according to sources of Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA) to Europe Press at 8.00 am this morning.

At the moment Eurocontrol, the European federation which coordinates air traffic, has not announced any restrictions in the airspace of the continent nor has spread new information on the evolution of the ash cloud.

During yesterday were canceled almost 200 flights between airports in the Spanish Aena network and the airports of the UK, Holland, Ireland and Iceland affected by the presence of the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud, and another 230 operations for reasons beyond it.
